Troubleshooting
Quick fixes for the most common issues — charging, pairing, limits and more.
Motorized Blinds & Shades
The blind stops too high or too low›
The upper or lower limit needs resetting. If the limits of a motorized blind have moved from its original position or new intermediate limits have been set unintentionally, you can reprogram them. Locate your programming guide under Instructions & Guides.
The blind will only move in small increments›
The blind may have been placed in jog mode unintentionally. Locate your programming instruction manual and follow the steps to reset.
My motorized blind stopped responding to the remote control›
1)The battery in the motor may be low — charge the motor for 4–6 hours using the included cable, then unplug and try again. If it still doesn't respond, re-pair the remote following the programming guide. View our Instruction Manuals section for more guidance.
2) Your remote control battery may be dead. Try replacing the battery.
My motorized blind stopped responding to the wand control›
The battery in the motor may be low — charge the motor for 4–6 hours using the included cable, then unplug and try again. If it still doesn't respond, you may require a service call.
My remote only controls some of my blinds›
Each blind must be paired to the remote channel you're using. Select the channel, then pair the blind again using the programming guide.
Blind will not connect/link to Blutooth app on my smart device›
Make sure the blind is in discoverable mode/battery charged/phone's bluetooth is on. You may need to press and hold the "set" button on the motor head. See your instruction manual.
Motorized blind is moving on its own at a consistent time of day›
You may have unintentionally set a timer or a scene in your app. Check the app and follow programming directions in your instruction manual to reset the blind.
How do I share my app settings with another person?›
You can use the "Share my account" option in the settings menu of the app. This will genereate a QR code.
Then the other person will select "Sync with existing account" and scan your QR code to receive the information on their phone.
I have a new phone, how do I access my previous settings or do I have to set up everything again?›
Simply log in to the app with your existing account information and the previous settings should be available.
Or you can complete the steps to share your account from your old phone to the new one.
Cordless & Manual Blinds
My cordless blind won't stay up›
Operate the blind fully up and down a few times to re-tension the spring. If it keeps drifting, request a service call.
The chain or wand feels stiff›
Check that nothing is obstructing the fabric or bottom bar and that the brackets are secure. Don't force the control — request a service call if it persists.
Roller Shade Fabric
The fabric rolls to one side (tracking)›
Tracking is usually caused by brackets that aren't level. Check the headrail with a level and adjust the brackets. Minor tracking that can be corrected by adjustment is normal — see our Return & Refund Policy for details.
The edges of my wide shade curl slightly›
Mild edge curling on wide shades is a natural characteristic of the fabric, influenced by heat, humidity and sunlight. It often settles after the shade has hung for a while.
The sides of the fabric on my cordless roller shade are fraying ›
Ensure you always operate the cordless blind from the middle of the bottom bar to keep the bottom bar as level as possible. Lowering and raising from one side only may cause the fabric to travel on the roller tube. Any travel along the width of the roller bar can strain the fabric and cause the weave to loosen on the edges.
